Bully! Pulpit Records was named after President Theodore Roosevelt's famous assertion that the presidency was like a "Bully Pulpit." Bully meant "Great" and a pulpit has always been a good place to give one's opinion, so together, it means a "great place to give your opinion." Founded by Mark Joseph as a boutique label home for talented artists, in 2008, Bully! announced a joint label partnership with Nettwerk Music Group, home to Sarah Mclachlan, The Cardigans, The Weepies and dozens of other artists. Bully!'s first artist, Molly Jenson's debut CD "Maybe Tomorrow" was released in 2009. Stay tuned for our next signing.
